Conversationalist is a duo project of Chris Rorrer (guitar, cello, vocals) and Breeze Smith (percussion, effects). After meeting through the Los Angeles free improv scene, Breeze and Chris found an instant musical connection that now commands the pop-rock and experimental realms. Chris’s catchy, melodic yet complex compositions and harmonies pair with Breeze’s nimble, highly expressive percussion and sound manipulation to create a symphony of sound and timbre uncanny for a duo. Both musicians have cut their teeth in the music business for quite some time, each boasting a substantive multi-genre discography, film score credits, and performances in prestigious venues throughout the globe. Their musical chemistry is undeniable on stage: bringing audiences riveting and enchanting performances night after night.
